Which Pegasus breed/bird combo has the worst temperament, which one is throwing you into low earth orbit
Hi!
Anything with appaloosa. I'm honestly not super familiar with the general temperaments of birds but I do have experience with crabby appaloosas. The only ones I haven't had trouble with were from a breeder who'd cross an appy with a friesian to get a surprisingly really good cross.
My theory is that appaloosas are actually wicked smart and are cranky to have to deal with people who don't understand what they need. They have lots of behavioral signals comparable to mustangs which are extremely smart horses, but deal with impatience and frustration in a slightly milder ways that dip more into stubbornness rather than bucking explosions.
So, I suppose any smart pegasus would be a candidate lol

Hello! :)
This is a production of two of my special instrest suddenly getting a common ground in the weird place that is called my mind. So this is;
F1 Drivers as Horse (breeds) (Part 1)
(This is all my own interpretion, please be kind :) It's just for fun)
Max Verstappen
Tumblr media Tumblr media
A horse that comes from a troubled background, now with owners that take proper care of him and one of the most successful show jumpers ever :) that’s what I imagine when I think about Max as a horse. And then a KWPN most likely :)
Charles Leclerc
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The definition of the ‘different’ horse. Warmblood beauty that everyone in your barn wants with the most unusual coat ever. Comes from one of the best breeders, etc, etc, etc. A lot of warmblood breeds are the same, so pick whatever you like. Likely to compete in eventing, which is dressage, show jumping and cross country because I imagine he looks beautiful but loves hard and tough work.
Lewis Hamilton
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Successful racing horse. English Thoroughbred. One of the best racing horses to have ever raced. Close to the likes of Seabiscuit and the others.
Daniel Ricciardo
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Our loveable goofball. I know that personality changes per horse, but I just imagine him as a cheery, rescued Brumby horse from the depths of Australia that just loves life and thinks everything is a game but also loves to learn new things.
Nico Hulkenberg
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Okay, this is a bit of a stretch~ Butttttt, recently Ive been seeing some Friesian x Missouri (Fox) Trotter crosses and that’s all I can think about when I think about Nico as a horse :) Definitely a cheeky little bugger that loves to work and play!
Valtteri Bottas
Tumblr media Tumblr media
A small, chubby, calm pony/horse with the fullest mane ever that is the fattest in the trotting categories! I imagine a Finnish Horse- Trotter type :)
Logan Sargeant
Tumblr media Tumblr media
WTF IS A KILOMETRE> no but seriously, America has a lot of gorgeous breeds and for Logan I imagine an Appaloosa, because they are hard working and honest horses and I just can’t picture him as an quarter :0
Lando Norris
Tumblr media Tumblr media
For Lando I imagine this gorgeous, bit smaller yet elegant pony that trots through the arena with pricked ears and a raised tail. Y’know, a bit younger as well, just getting into actual work and just loving it. It just happens that the Welsh Pony – Section B is also from England!
Fernando Alonso
Tumblr media Tumblr media
An old hand in the trade. A gorgeous Andalusian/PRE stallion with the longest mane that’s like 17 years old and still competing at top levels with various riders :)
Pierre Gasly & Esteban Ocon
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Sorry I had to do these two together because I just had this vivid image of two lovely Norman Cob stallions that are like half-brothers and grew up at the same estate and ended up becoming each other biggest competitors both in competition and in terms of breeding >.<

Ok top photo is my Holstein calf (Nimi) from last year, born January 5th 2023 photo taken November 25th 2023.
Second photo is my current Holstein (Woody) born March 2024, and Photo was taken Nov 30th 2024.
Considering the two months difference Woody is growing great. From memory I can tell he already is filled out better than Nimi was. Probably Friesian genetics because Woody did come from dairy showmen breeder op.

Photo was taken on the same phone too you can really see the degrading quality of my camera

PLEASE NOTE: I made these fan redesigns before SSO announced their plans to make an actual Gen 3 Friesian. This can be corroborated on my Instagram account. Any resemblance my designs might have to the Gen 3 Friesian or their coat concepts is completely coincidental.
This was my own fan redesign of the "Jorvik Friesian" we have in-game. 🐎 Colors: [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] [6] [7]
As I mentioned in my previous post, I am allowing chestnut in my purebred Friesian lineup because American registries allow for it.
This second color is a liver chestnut. Breeders tend to call them "Fox Friesians." Interestingly, a lot of chestnut Friesians tend to be on the darker side. Geneticists still don't currently know what makes horses display different shades of certain colors, but I find it interesting that a breed known for being primarily black, tends to produce dark chestnuts. I, once again, used SSO's own Jorvik Friesian as reference for this coat.
This is the only other coat I made that used a color from the Jorvik Friesian. The last five variations are all new, but I may use the other coats on future redesigns.

I know none of my moots are most likely interested in a new horse (I guess you never know), but if you have moots that might consider it, please pass this on. My friend raises Friesians (I've shown her horses here before) and this is one she raised and sold as a weanling. Because she is a responsible breeder who loves her horses, she is helping him find his next home. Located in Indiana, USA.

What is the World's Most Beautiful Horse?
Throughout the globe's history, horses have stood out for their beauty and grace. The Clydesdale, the Arabian, the Friesian, and the Haflinger are included. Each of these breeds holds a particular place in the hearts of many individuals across the globe. The Akhal-Teke horse is a beautiful animal renowned for its glittering coat and metallic sparkle. It is also referred to as the Golden horse, "One-Person Horse," and "Horse From Heaven." This horse has its origins in Turkmenistan.
Akhal-Tekes are rare. Several color options are available, including black, bay, chestnut, and palomino. There are other populations of these horses in Russia, Europe, and North America.
Nomadic peoples of Central Asia utilized Akhal-Tekes as war mounts. However, opponents frequently snatched them. Consequently, the breed is currently endangered. The Akhal-Teke is the earliest breed of the domesticated horse.
The short, iridescent hair of the Akhal-Teke has the power to refract light, providing a striking contrast with its golden, glossy coat. Their trim physique and delicate skin make them ideal for equine sports.
The Arabian horse is regarded as the most beautiful breed in the world. These creatures are recognized for their adaptability and kind demeanor. They are an excellent companion for youngsters and anyone with impairments.
Their long faces and long tails make them very pleasing. They also possess a lively disposition.
Art, poetry, and illustrious historical individuals populate the history of the Arabian horse. It encompasses five continents and numerous cultures.
The Arabian is one of the world's oldest horse breeds. They were tamed on the Arabian Peninsula by Bedouins. During their time, these horses were employed in combat. However, they were also developed to be friendly and loyal to humans.
The upshot of thousands of years of selective breeding is a breed that is both intelligent and devoted. This allows them to form strong bonds with people.
Friesian horses' black coloring and flowing mane have been well-known for centuries. Additionally, they are renowned for their high-stepping gait. These horses are frequently seen on the sets of movies such as Conan the Barbarian, Eragon, The Hunger Games, Clash of the Titans, and Alexander.
Due to this, the breed is prevalent in warmer climates. They are diverse and competent in numerous disciplines. They are not, however, designed for show jumping.
They are applicable for both dressage and recreational riding. This means that they are suited for riders of all skill levels. Those interested in acquiring one of these horses must first contact a trustworthy breeder.
Although the breed is attractive, it is susceptible to various diseases. Anhydrosis is a dangerous ailment that can develop in an overheated horse. Injections of fluids and electrolytes are among the treatments.
If you are searching for a horse to ride on mountain paths, your search is over. Haflingers are suitable for therapeutic and recreational riding. They are also extremely popular with grownups.
The Haflinger is an Austrian horse with a reputation for being low maintenance. It has a modest stature and a warm chestnut color, resembling a pony.
Historically, the Haflinger was utilized for transporting colossal cargo. Additionally, it was used to pull wheeled vehicles. These horses are frequently encountered in the Alps today. Their diminutive size makes them more manageable than larger horses.
During World War I, soldiers were transported by Haflingers. In addition, they were utilized for pulling horse-drawn vehicles across the mountainous terrain. Following World War II, there were fewer Haflingers. They were selectively bred to be shorter and stockier.
The Clydesdale horse breed is one of the most attractive in the world. They are also incredibly well-liked by the royal family.
Additionally, they are recognized for their graceful movement. These horses are utilized in agriculture and transportation and are famous at horse events.
Their size makes them suitable for agricultural tasks. They are simple to teach and possess beautiful personalities. However, the Rare Breeds Survival Trust lists them as a threatened species.
Clydesdales originated in Scotland's Clyde valley. Flemish stallions were imported to the region and crossed with native draft mares. This injection resulted in the formation of a more giant breed and more muscular.
Nowadays, Clydesdales are frequently bred with thoroughbreds to make powerful sports horses. Currently, they weigh between 800 and 910 pounds.

Genshin Guys Modern Equestrian AU! (Part 1)
A/N: lots of horse terms that I will admit Im too lazy to write it all out. Also some i was more excited to write than others(*cough cough* Albedo-).
Aether: international competitor
-he’s always traveling the world going to big competitions, getting lost along the way
-it’s just him, his camper and his horse

-He does Jumpers (around 1.2 meters) and has a decent standing
-every once and a while he’ll enter a Grand Prix
Arataki Itto: riding is not something he does competitively nor does he care much for it
-he likes to get on a horse every now and then but it’s just for fun

-he loves it so much, it is so much fun for him
-he has a large pony and jumps anywhere from 2ft to 2ft 6in
-he always goes around the ring beautifully but his bad luck kicks in on the last jump, whether he has a bad distance or knocks the rail down or the pony gets spooked, it’s always near the very end
-his pony will follow him around sometimes if it can and always loves on him
-it’s the only creature that somehow stays in tact even with all his bad luck
Chongyun: he does liberty and free riding
-he has a couple pure white horses he works with and a black Freisian that he lightly rides and does tricks with
-sometimes he’ll do performances at competitions
-he loves his horses so much

-he has one horse he does everything with and is barely ever separated from
-his horse lives basically in his backyard, he loves that thing
Kaeya: Equestrian Clothing model

My mum always had a dream to own a Friesian one day. I know when I was little she was looking for one, but ended up buying a Dutch Harness horse yearling. At some point, we did own a Friesian, but she was like an anomaly, and we had to sell when my dad passed away. (She’s still going strong nearing age 30, but still being active under saddle every day!)
Now, her dream has come true and then some. She’s a small scale Friesian breeder. She focuses on a more classic type of Friesian, but not entirely, somewhere between old school and modern sport Friesian.
This week we were able to show her first filly at a local show. She did pretty well all things considered. Her mare is in foal to the same sire again, so next year there will be more to show. And then in the future, she can continue the family line with the 2021 filly.
Neither of them have been to any shows before - besides the mare as a filly, but we doubt she remembers that - and they behaved like queens. They actually seemed to enjoy observing the other horses around. We stood by the sides for a while and they were thoroughly intrigued! All in all a good day. But now I have 500+ pictures to edit. Yay, I guess.

less popular opinion than it should be but color should not even be mentioned in any breed standard for any domestic animal unless it’s to avoid health defects connected to specific colors like lethal white or merle-related issues in dogs. the friesian registry will turn away any stallion in an already inbred horse breed if they carry a chestnut allele at all. WHY. IT DOESN’T AFFECT THE HEALTH OR PERFORMANCE OF THE HORSE IF IT’S RED INSTEAD OF BLACK. WHY DOES THE BREED STANDARD FOR PUGS CONSIDER AN UNDERBITE AND BRACHYCEPHALY DESIRABLE BUT IF THEY AREN’T ONE OF TWO COLORS THEY’RE DISQUALIFIED REGARDLESS OF HEALTH OR CONFORMATION. WHY LITERALLY ANYTHING ABOUT HALTER HORSES. will it truly ruin your day if you have to settle for a german shepherd that’s not black and tan with a saddle? will it affect you in any meaningful way? I mean maybe since you’re already buying a purebred german shepherd and I have questions about your priorities, but if our culture didn’t put importance on the color of a german shepherd in the first place then no it would not.
look we need more regulations on breeding animals and what can be put into a breed standard for showing or something. and if a certain breed has health defects that are extremely common within that breed, you should be allowed to bring in non-purebred animals at least once in a while and prioritize reducing that, or if you can’t, consider whether that breed needs to exist. dog/horse breeds aren’t even real, we made them up to fill specific jobs that are mostly obsolete now, it doesn’t matter. if I was getting a dog right now, my first priority would be personality and compatible energy/socialization requirements. second priority would be something that doesn’t drool all over the place because I have a thing about that. size and build are flexible because the first things I vetted for make that less important but probably small enough that my 5′2 ass could win a contest of strength with it if truly necessary. and appearance/color DOESN’T FUCKING MATTER BECAUSE I’M NOT BUYING A DOG AS A GODDAMN FASHION ACCESSORY. IT DOESN’T HAVE TO COORDINATE WITH MY SCARVES. NONE of those factors narrow it down to one specific breed I must have.
anyway pugs should not exist. the distinction between show animals and working animals shouldn’t exist. hell the concept of “purebred” shouldn’t exist. if you need to breed a certain animal to do a certain kind of thing really good, fine, but doing that to the point that you’ve overshot useful and made an entire breed known for having bad hips, or chasing after ridiculous and specific traits that have no actual benefit to you or the animal as a vanity project, is selfish and weird and we should stop doing that. especially with horses, because the US already has a horse surplus and backyard color breeders producing a ton of downhill swaybacked post-legged disasters because they had to breed their mad max truck of a mare because she’s got a cream gene and they want a colorful baby are making it worse.
also blue nose pitbulls are a scam, they’re just overpriced inbred regular pitbulls with a dilution gene and probably some puppy mill-induced emotional baggage, just go to the damn shelter, thank you and goodnight.

Hey #JorvikStargazers, you’re soon going to be starstruck by our #FlawlessFriesians! Here’s the final reveal with their epic medieval bridles. Traditionally the breed is known for the pitch-black color of their glossy coats and in some rare cases fiery chestnut, conjuring imagery of noble knights in shining armor.  On Jorvik, breeders have found success raising Friesian sport horses in a range of colors and markings.  Regardless of coat color, all Friesians on Jorvik are renowned for their long-flowing manes, perfectly suited to a range of grooming styles. If you’re looking for a glorious companion with the bravery of a knight and the elegance of a queen, look no further than the Friesian.  Save the date: coming December 16th! #SSOWinter
